Global Bioeconomy Summit 2015
Abellon invited to present at Global Bioeconomy Summit 2015 in Berlin, Germany.

The Global Bioeconomy Summit is the first community building platform to discuss bioeconomy policies globally. Under the patronage of German Chancellor H.E. Angela Merkel, the vision of this summit is to build on the post 2015 development goals to start a multilateral agenda setting process for a sustainable bioeconomy.

With this purpose the German Bioeconomy Council recently invited 500 leaders from policy, research, industry and civil society to Berlin for the three-day Summit in November.

Abellon was invited to speak on its experience of Innovation through Agro-Forestry Model in India and working with Small Scale Producers from the Timber industry in Ghana for converting waste to pellet fuel during the Food Security and Small-Scale Produce Workshop hosted by FAO during the Summit.>

Our unique model of Agro-Forestry with intercropping of Energy and Food Crops, Solar Agro-Electric Model connecting to farmers and the grassroots level in India, and initiative in Ghana of collecting wood waste from small producers and converting the same into clean fuel, as well as interventions for the cooking sector in Africa, was appreciated by participants. Many participants from Africa and the EU came forward to share how excited they were about our initiative in Ghana and the potential of Bioeconomy in Africa.
