Plastic is a much vilified material. It is the most visible symbol of everything that is wrong with the linear make-use-dispose model. Plastic litters are swamping everything from neighborhood drains to the beaches. It is not just an eyesore but microplastics now threaten entire marine life. Until earlier this year, all regulations and efforts around the world were to eliminate use of Single Use Plastics (SUPs)and to look for replacements wherever possible.
